Food Web Defined
A set of inter-connected food chains, which describes who eats who and what. Most animals eat many different species of plants or other animals, and are also food for many different animals. A food web makes this clear by connecting each animal to many different prey species and many different predators. It is more complex, but usually a better description than a food chain.
