Labrador Current Defined

A cold ocean current, also called the Arctic current, which flows south along the Labrador coast of Canada, through the Davis Strait to the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, where it divides. The eastward branch joins the North Atlantic Current, the westward branch flows into the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
